Drawn to the idyllic cover with blue, white and red splashes, this book did not disappoint! Vivian Conroy reels you with an exciting plot and beautiful descriptions etched with myths, superstitions and history. Atalanta Ashford is a great character, a cosy mystery sleuth slowly building her confidence and being highly observational. However, the numerous unanswered questions get repetitive, slightly hindering my reading experience. Thank you to NetGalley & One More Chapter for giving me an ARC.

I have fallen in love with historical mysteries (Ok, I am obsessed!) and when I saw this title, I was anxious to read the story. Atalanta is new to her investigative skills, but after solving one case, she is happy to be on to the next! This one will take all her skill and then some to solve, especially with another murder occurring! Descriptive scenes bring you into the setting and make you want to be there. Interesting characters and a few red herrings make this an excellent tale that only m
