Like most people are saying, the 2nd level (even on easy) is practically impossible. They could release a Rebel Inc. 2 and have it be the exact same game but with easy mode... you know, actually easy. It would likely be much more successful. *response to devs comment: a game can be challenging on intermediate & hard difficulty levels, but not impossible on the "easy" setting. You have failed to balance the difficulty in a way that is satisfying for the players. Own up to that and CHANGE IT!

We designed Rebel Inc. to be a challenging strategy game, and much of the mechanics are based on real world counter-insurgency situations (such as the algorithm which defines how, when and where insurgents spawn). Have you tried talking to other players on our subreddit or discord? https://www.reddit.com/r/rebelinc/ or https://discord.gg/ndemic

It's fun, at first, but you soon realize is it the same thing over and over with no alterations. The odds are almost completely stacked against you, and it takes mostly rng luck to win at any of the military aspect of the game. The 'insurgents' can jump territory to territory instantaneously, aswell as outnumber you sixfold. Which could be challenging and cool, but with a max of 4 units, and with bland practically useless upgrades, it'pretty much just luck and zero stratagem.

Incredibly robust game, and Im really grateful for the discount after beating all the maps on brutal a time or so, didnt feel up to getting 25 wins from who knows many attempts. Handles the topic of that forever war pretty well as well. Once you learn some of the finer points of when to build initiatives and in what order, and the ones the population wants at any given time, its much easier. EDIT#2: My play progress transferred only after playing a mission so thats a little annoying
