I would give this book 0 stars if I could for the following reasons. Unfortunately there are a lot of errors in the book. Such as incorrect pictures not matching the text. The biggest errors I noticed so far were in the nuclear explosion section where, apparently the blast reaches you before the heat and gamma rays are slower than alpha and beta particles all of which is utter nonsense. Most of the first aid is ok but the claim tourniquets can only be used high on the upper arm or leg is simply wrong, they can be used anywhere on these long bones! The snake bite treatment is correct for neurotoxins but totally counterproductive for the other types. The section on cardio pulmonary resusitation also needs urgently updating. Funnily it warns against drinking the juice of green coconuts. However, thousands of people throughout SE Asia do exactly this every day, I have tried green coconut myself several times with no problems at all. I seriously wonder if the book wasn't just written by some random ten year old and signed as "Loftys" work. The more I read it and find more errors the more worthless the book becomes. I am certain the author knows better so I would put it down to poor checking by the editor or publisher. I reckon the other sections will contain errors too. Still time for a refund until the errors are sorted. EDIT: no chance for a refund because the book was "adequately described" apparantly. Though I am certain the description did not say - this is a poorly edited, error rich, survival book. Not a life or death thing so just ignore all the mistakes and give us your money! Seems I can only read it online which makes it even more useless as a reference but judging the quality and accuracy it is probably better that way.

This book is supposed to be free. It was originally intended as a survival guide for all people. Only capable to use if you have data connection is just rediculous, spelling errors, incorect use of first aid supplies and generally poor pictures. Just order your free one online and forget about these money mongers.

The paperback copy of this book costs LESS than the e-book. That is the epitome of a rip-off.
