4.5 Stars I loved this book so much. I'm a sucker for a friends to lovers romance and boy was this a good one. I couldn't put it down. Gunner and Sidney have so much history going was back as best friends. You can feel the easy connection. It's too bad Gunner doesn't see her the way she sees him as her future. A crazy plan put into motion creates unbelievable chemistry between the two. I love the work they do for the rescue. It's work from the heart. Their adoptive furry family made my heart happy. Gunner and Sidney have many little things that are special like the photos. That was beautiful part for me. There was plenty of heart and feels in this one. We get Tank's wedding and boy that left me with tears in my eyes. It was absolutely beautiful. This a must read!

Sydney and Gunner met back when they served in the military and became fasr and best friends. They both shared a deep love for dogs. When Sydney got hurt and left the military, Gunner left as well. Gunner started an abundance rescue just as they always discussed. Sydney and Gunner served, worked, and lived together. Both always had feelings for each other which were suppressed until Sydney wanted more than friendship. With Gunner being a big ladies man Sydney had to come up with a plan

Sydney and Gunner are perfect together. Everyone knew it, it just took Gunner a little time to see it. I loved their relationship and I felt a kinship with Sid. I resonated with her and loved that the author showcased a different type of body and the insecurities that come with it since we all have them, regardless of what kind of body we have. I have felt like Sid and was glad to see everyone always compliment her and Gunner finally open his eyes. The anticipation and the back and forth had me on edge and I couldn't put this down.
