About this app

Firewall WITHOUT ROOT. Host name/domain name filtering, simple interface, fine-grained access control and no suspicious permissions on the firewall app itself.

* TO LTE USERS *
NoRoot Firewall may not work on LTE because it NoRoot Firewall currently doesn't support IPv6. I'm working on the fix.

NoRoot Firewall requires NO ROOT. It protects your personal information from being sent to the Internet. NoRoot firewall notifies you when an app is trying to access the Internet. All you need to do is just press Allow or Deny button.

NoRoot Firewall allows you to create filter rules based on IP address, host name or domain name. You can allow or deny only specific connections of an app.

Features
- No root required as the name NoRoot Firewall says.
- Fine-grained access control based on IP/host name/domain name.
- Simple interface. Easy to use.
- Minimal permissions. No location, No phone number.

This is the perfect solution if you want a firewall for android without root. It gives you a complete protection for your Android. NoRoot Firewall is like Drodwall for no root users.

Does exactly what I want. Had issues keeping it engaged, but found another app with vpn settings was competing. Set this one in phone settings as always on and mandatory so if it drops everything is blocked. Fixed my issues. I leave notifications off. I don't want nags on apps when they start. I know to go enable something if I'm not already always allowing it. The list is small and my memory is good enough.

Recently reinstalled after not using for a while, noticed the top buttons depicting the WiFi and data internet connectivity is no longer clickable on a global scale. Like say if I want to shut all of the access down except for the one app I am using due to poor data speed out in the boonies, leaving all bandwidth available for the single app, I used to be able to just click the mobile data button to off and they all go off, then click the one app I'm using to on. Have to click each app now

Works pretty well. Good for limiting background data usage and making you more aware of what apps are using the internet (even when you are not using them). However, if you are looking for a robust solution, this is probably not for you. I dig it though. It would be nice if there were a "firewall reset" button to make apps have to ask permission again and a single button (or drop down box) of various custom configurations. As it is, I find myself giving and revoking permissions often. Still, šŸ‘
