About this app

This is not an app to find standard accessible (RADAR or disabled) toilets. Changing Places are different to standard accessible (disabled) toilets. There are over over 1300 changing places toilets in the UK. This App is the first one to allow you to find the nearest facility to you or by searching a specific location and gives you information on how to get there, how to get in, and what facilities are there.

Changing Places offer the facilities of a standard accessible toilet for disabled people but with extra space (7m² originally and now 12m²), an adult changing bench and a hoist (you will need to bring your own sling), which are essential for people who have a carer or profound and multiple learning disabilities or cannot reasonably use standard accessible toilets.

There are also over 600 Changing Places 'U' toilets and Space2Change toilets which are both very similar to standard accessible toilets for disabled people and which typically also have a hoist and an adult sized changing bench but do not comply with the full Changing Places standard, often due to limited space or having corner toilets.

Our website at www.changingplacesmap.org has a similar toilet finding map, which is designed to include the enhanced functionality that is made practical when matched by the larger screens and greater processing power of a computer including multiple routes and extra search functions.

This app replaces the first phone app ever for Changing Places, launched by us on August 2015.

Just installed this after a nightmare stop at Clacket lane services on the M25, where unsurprisingly there were no changing places toilets. Found the app easy to install and navigate - just checked for places local to me in Eastbourne and it looks like it got it spot on - the detail available is excellent - right down to the type of sling needed, and the contact number to get access - very impressed. Thanks for pulling this together - really appreciated - hopefully I can avoid another clacket lane service station disaster now!

Great app. Now I don't have to worry so much about finding a place to change when out. For those who are more mobile, I'd recommend pairing this with the NCT Baby change app, so you're never having to panic looking for changing facilities.

Tried various ways of loading the Android App, first an alert notice pops up with NULL as the message, then the screen is just white. The command buttons load but NO MAP. Any help would be appreciated
