Learn about the satellites that monitor extreme weather and climate change in this immersive AR app. We'll challenge you to complete a series of missions, which will start with an interactive journey into space where you’ll see the satellites orbiting Earth and view all of their instruments up close. You’ll learn how the satellite instruments work, how they transmit data from space to a system of ground stations on Earth and end up in your weather forecast. You’ll learn about the electromagnetic spectrum and how the satellites see. And you’ll explore the powerful weather events and dazzling weather phenomena that they observe across our planet.

Ratings and reviews

The app itself had a few great facts about the different satellites and what they're used for. Other than the half an hour of learning about the satellites and how they track, record and help us to prepare for weather it's useless. There's no updated, new facts to learn about. No new "Missions" to complete. I completed my missions and then uninstalled.

I love these satellites and their data products, it's cool being able to visualize them in 3D
