Stop cropping your photos! Instant Square puts any photo in a square and then sends it to your favourite social platform where you can keep the full photo.
All features:
- select square image size: 512, 1024 or 2048px
- select color depth: 16 bit or 32 bit
- pinch zoom image inside the square frame
- move image inside the square frame
- zooming, rotating and moving is lightning fast and smooth
- rotate image freely (any degree) with two fingers
- rotate by fixed 90 degrees (normal rotation)
- select square resolution between 512, 1024 and 2048.
- optionally add an overlay frame
- watermark (custom text)
- enter watermark text
- select watermark position
- change watermark transparency
- thin border
- gold frame
- ellipse
- heart
- vignette
- rounded corners
- parchment
- soft edges
- select any color for the frame

5 star app! And great assistance. :) Would be awesome if it had different watermark fonts and sizes to choose from.

When top left button is "on" you may rotate freely using two fingers.
Cropping is done with the zoom and move buttons on (just resize the photo using pinch and move it around - it will be cropped to what's visible in the square).
Different borders or watermark can be set from settings screen (button with gearwheel symbol).

When I click the instagram button to post, it only goes to the layout part of the app where you can add more pictures. How do I stop this?

The app works fine and is pretty useful. The only issue is that it is comically slow.... it takes literally 15 minutes to render some black borders. UPDATE: Switching to 1024x1024 seems to help. Brings the render time down to about a minute... But you lose quite a bit of resolution. Regarding the developer comment, I am using a Galaxy Nexus running 4.2.2 with 20GB free. This phone does not have a memory card slot, so its all internal memory. That having been said, I DO like the app!

15 minutes sounds like a joke. But I do believe you! That has to be related to the storage media write speed. The normal case with my test phones will be 2-15 seconds depending on the size of the picture.
A future update will be an option to save as JPEG which will drastically reduce write speeds but will require more working memory instead.
