Ratings and reviews

The app was working great, and then with an android update it wouldn't track my path when my screen went dark. My location would only be identified and tracked with the app visible on the screen. I reached out to AllTrails and got no support. Things like setting your screen not to go dark were recommended, but I can't do that all the time because it uses too much battery. I wish they would fix this problem because I like the app and I wish they would communicate better with those with issues.

First time trying to use this to track actual hikes. Not impressed. It wasn't tracking specific route, only what looks like start and end with straight line in between. Had difficulty connecting to GPS. Lost an entire 3.5 mile hike in Teddy Roosevelt NP when it seemed like it was tracking. Seems very buggy in general. And usability is not very intuitive.

Why is this so difficult to use. You would think it's like Google Maps but for trails but it's not at all. Doing the simplest things are way to complicated. Should be able to just download an area full of trails for offline use and go but its so much more complicated I still don't even know if it's an option to have more than one trail on the map. On top of that whenever I press start or navigate nothing happens. The app constantly asks for my location even though I've definitely given location
