Using your location, Guardian supplements your normal due-diligence activities by displaying no-fly zones and ground hazards for a growing number of countries around the world, completely free of charge.

Whether you fly for fun, or professionally, Altitude Angel’s high-fidelity, accurate and authoritative data aims to help you plan your drone operations so that they can be conducted with greater respect for safety and privacy, while at the same time, reducing the time it takes.

Please note that Altitude Angel provides our data and this application as a supplement to all your normal pre-flight and in-flight due-diligence and safety checks, not as a replacement for them. At all times it is your responsibility to maintain the safe (and compliant) operation of your drone.

Ratings and reviews

On the plus: a great app for identifying airspace restrictions and logging plans to operate UAS. Negatives: Often has issues contacting its server and thus provides no information at all to the user. Needs the multiple map layer options in the same way as the web app (drone safety map) does as aerial photography would be a massive bonus. As would OS maps, even if that were UK only. Still a good app - when it's online - but requires flicking between apps to confirm location limits, etc.

Great App. Invaluable information in your palm. Not sure what the negative reviews are all about. To register all I was asked for was an email and name. No phone number etc. Maybe this was an old version. For UK drone operators this app is excellent and saves a lot of time when planning a flight. Genius

Garbage. Ment to be a drone pilots best friend and a highly recognised company. But yet there app is garbage and no longer connects to a server in order for a pilot to see what is around. Pointless and unfit for purpose
