The largest ecumenical festival in the north offers a multifaceted program:
Every year in September, Hamburg's churches invite you to a joint cultural festival. During the Hamburg Church Night, you can experience the church as an event location with concerts, shows, theatre, readings, spiritual and political events. Far away from the service, but always as a meeting place in the middle of our society.
Organizer: Hamburg Evangelical Lutheran Church Association in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Hamburg and the Working Group of Christian Churches in Hamburg (ACKH).
The Night of the Churches Hamburg
• is one of the largest cultural events in the city
• expects 50,000 visitors
• offers more than 400 hours of programming in more than 90 churches
• is supported by a number of volunteers in the communities
• appeals in particular to searching and critical people
• shows the churches welcoming, responsive and open
