About this app

GCam Tool automatically moves photos taken with Google Camera to any folder you want, even memory card. It can prevent flipping of selfies so that the front camera photo is saved just like how you see it in the preview.

It also automatically moves portrait photos taken with Google Camera, to the correct gallery location. Here's how it works:

When you take a portrait photo (with DSLR like blurred background) with Google Camera, it takes the photo in burst mode - one regular photo and one blurred photo. These photos are saved in a new folder (created every time you take a photo) inside your photo gallery.

GCam Tool simply moves the photos you want (regular, portrait or both) to the location you choose and deletes the rest.

✔ Prevent flipping of front camera photos
✔ Choose which photos you want to move
✔ Select custom source and destination folders
✔ Batch move multiple files
✔ Rotate selfies further for Xiaomi phones
✔ Option to delete the sub folder created by Google Camera

Download GCam Tool today and simplify organizing photos taken with Google Camera!

Frequently Asked Questions

Prevent front camera flipping is not working
After you take a front camera photo, please check it in a third party gallery app like QuickPic or Piktures. The gallery in Google Camera is sometimes slow to refresh the flipped image. But in reality the image must be flipped correctly.

Why is GCam Tool getting stopped/paused by itself?
Some phones aggressively kill apps in the background in order to save some battery. Please visit www.dontkillmyapp.com to learn how to make sure GCam Tool doesn't get killed by the system.

Photos are not moved even though the options are enabled
This could again be a case of the gallery in Google Camera app not refreshing photos correctly. After you take a selfie, please check it in a third party File manager (Solid Explorer, ES File Explorer) or gallery (QuickPic, Piktures). They must be moved.

Ok I checked with third party gallery and can confirm it is still not moving
Some modded Google Camera apps save portrait photos in DCIM/Camera itself instead of creating a subfolder inside DCIM/Camera. Open Google Camera, find Settings -> Advanced -> Save all portrait mode pictures to same folder and disable it.

I need to save only portrait photo (background blurred bokeh). What setting should I choose?
In Settings, under "Portrait Photos", please enable "Move portrait photos to target folder" while disabling "Move normal photos to target folder". Now only the background blurred photo will moved to target folder while the normal one will be deleted.

What's the deal with Motion Photos?
It is a proprietary format developed by Google where a video is embedded inside a photo. There shouldn't be any issues with moving motion photos to target folder but if you enable "prevent flipping of motion photos", such motion photos will be converted to regular JPEG files and will, as a result, lose the embedded video.

What's the difference between Auto and Manual mode configuration?
To prevent selfie from flipping, GCam Tool attempts to identify from which camera a photo came from. To do that it accesses the camera module and reads parameters of front and back cameras. But certain phones do not provide this data correctly. In such cases, GCam Tool will instead read the parameters from photos which you select in Manual mode.

Upgraded to pro so i could batch move my portrait photos on my Pixel 3. Everytime I try to do the move, the bar for the "analyzing camera folder" moves slightly, then freezes. Eventually I get a system message saying that the app has stopped working. I have done this 10 times already in the past hour. Its very frustrating to pay for a premium feature, only for it to not work. Please help.

S9+ on PIE. I think I'm missing something. When I try to change Target Folder in settings, only Recent and Downloads folder show up and nothing else. All permissions are turned on. Please help. Bought the Pro thinking it'll fix this issue but nope. Edit: user error. I had external drive turned off from disabling all bloat using package disabler pro. app works as promised

Using this with the Google Camera port for LG G6. Purchased the paid version. It works sometimes but half of the time it just gets stuck trying to move the photos and clear the directories. It's pretty unreliable. Perhaps the photos are getting stuck because the camera is still post processing the photo? Maybe the app needs a configurable wait timer? Log messages to help with debugging? So close to being a great app but can't rate it highly because it's so unreliable.
