About this app

This is a calendar application useful for all the people Orissa (Odisha) and all the Odia (Oriya) people living outside Odisha (Orissa). It shows all festivals important for Oriya people as well as important Indian festivals for till year 2035, including the calendar for the year 2019.

The most important feature of this calendar application is that this is completely in Odia (Oriya) language.

This calendar app shows the daily Indian Day, Tithi, Rasi and Nakshatra and the important days when you tap on a date. It also shows the local Sunrise and Sunset times as well as special times of the day such as: Rahukala, Gulikakala and Yamaganda. Apart from these, it also shows pictures associated with some special days when you tap on a date.

One can add reminder for a special day by long pressing on a special day on the calendar.

Search button on the action bar can be used to search a festival, rasi, nakashatra, tithi etc.

You can go to a particular month and year, by tapping on corresponding menu on the action bar.

The application also creates a home screen widget displaying today’s information in Oriya (Odia).

Once the paper calendar for a future year is published, the data of the app will be checked against the paper calendar data, and if any variation is found, it will be corrected.

It is an attempt to help all the Odia (Oriya) friends to easily know the significant days of Odia (Oriya) Calendar. It is also an emotional attempt to display the entire calendar in Odia (Oriya).

This app used to be good. But the introduction of ads everytime you open is a hindering the use. I know ads are important for sustainability but if there would be a paid app it would be good.

Thanks for the response related to ads. I'll wait for updates. Removing all my previous comments. Just one suggestion regarding the calendar display of it can be on a solid color background it would be more readable. Currently the gradient background makes difficult to read the numbers. I tried changing themes but the gradient in the centre makes it difficult to read.

Really this application is very helpful for me but one thing is missing to jump another date, month and year with scrolling is very bad thing
