About this app

Chinese, a formidable language for learners without a native environment, is notoriously difficult to make progress. Chinese is hard not at speaking but at its writing system. Different from most of the languages in this world, Chinese is not alphabet based. Rather, thousands of complicated characters (Hanzi) make up of its writing foundation.
Writing Chinese cannot be skipped if a learner doesn't want to be Chinese illiterate. However, provided the complexity and huge number, memorizing thousands of Chinese characters is almost an impossible mission without repeatedly reinforcing memory. In a non-native environment, dictation is the only viable way to this purpose as no other opportunities exist to use these Hanzi.
Dictating Chinese needs teacher's persistent and long-time involvement, which is usually impractical to most Chinese learners. Thanks the latest development of technologies, this APP is able to take most of the burden away from teacher and dictate users by itself. This APP covers all the characters in JiNan University Chinese (Revised Edition), i.e. 暨南大学中文教材(修订版). Users can also add their own Chinese characters. Based on Artificial Intelligence, it provides several ways to recognize handwriting Chinese characters including sticking to stroke order, allowing limited connectivity and allowing out of stroke order. Because of its great features, this tool will definitely become a powerful aid for Chinese learners.
