About this app

VIZpin Smart app lets you unlock any door or gate with your smartphone. People can send you smartkeys anytime, from anywhere. It also has video intercom capabilities when enabled on a smart device. You can also generate temporary visitor codes right in the app.

Every smartkey has multiple layers of security and encryption to prevent copying or hacking. Use the widget to access smartkeys quickly and easily as it automatically displays the doors or gates that are closest in range. The app has great features like auto-login, favorites, sort by closest, pop-up notifications, widgets and more – letting each user customize the app to their preferences.

Once you download and register this app, you can also enter a Location ID and personalized note to request access from the Building Manager. This will notify the building manager automatically and they can send you a VIZpin smartkey.

Ratings and reviews

The app barely works right. Often requires many restarts before it will pick up on a "key". Then it is slow as all get out when it is refreshing the keys. Now it requires location permissions all of the time (instead of just when the app is being used)?!?! I'm so glad my complex is ditching this garbage and going back to good ole reliable key fobs.

It is a little better now, responds quicker and usually connects on the first or second attempt. The older versions, which were very slow, and often failed to connect to the door after 3-4 tries if you ever forgot to have location and Bluetooth already enabled ahead of time, before you opened the app. Ended up just using the spare door and the old key fob for six months. But Now it seems to work a little more seamlessly.

The developers listen to feedback and release updates frequently. Their most recent update improved the apps functionality tremendously! Great job. It would be a 5 star but I wish I could open the gate through wifi instead of Bluetooth. Right now you have to be in range of the device to open it, so you can't let guests in without walking to the gate.
