· Scan with your mobile the barcodes of the cans and plastic bottles of beverages that you are going to recycle.
· Deposit the containers to be recycled in the yellow recycling container or in the recycling machines that you will find in train stations, shopping centers or universities and receive your RECYCLE points.
· Redeem your RECYCLES for raffles or donations to social and environmental projects. 🎁

WHERE CAN I RECYCLE?
In more than 100 cities throughout Spain and it will progressively be implemented throughout the country to be able to recycle in any municipality, promoting recycling in all parts of the territory. Locate your nearest RECYCLING container through the application!

📍RECYCLES recycling machines in the main cities: Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Tarragona, Las Palmas and Valencia. You can also participate in RECYCLES through the yellow containers in Castellón, Seville, Tenerife, Pontevedra, Santiago, Palencia, Vigo, Segovia, Lugo, La Rioja, Alicante or Salamanca.

In addition, we have incorporated recycling machines during 2022 in Malaga, Zaragoza, Bilbao, Badalona, ​​Logroño, Toledo or Burgos and new municipalities have already been launched in 2023, such as: Pozuelo de Alarcón, Ibiza, León, Basauri or Orense.

Each city offers several recycling alternatives for recycling plastic beverage cans and bottles:

I don't think it really works. I've installed the app and scanned the codes which are on the plastic bottles BUT there isn't any QR code on the container in my quarter sooo..it's not so useful actually. I'm very sorry. Spain has much to learn from the countries like Germany or Sweden because they are a great example how to recycle the plastic or glass or aluminium.

This is a really good idea, however, it is only valid for bottles and cans. There are so many things that need to be included like tetrabricks and other plastic wrappings. Also, duplicates are not permitted, so if I have some friends over and we all drink a beer from a can, ONLY One of those cans will be counted.

ECOEMBES please, just set up machines to collect and pay out directly. Why complicate things with an app, rules and more rules! What if you dont have a cell phone or you are not able to understand/use technology? Who has time to scan and do all the work you ask before dumping used packages? ECOEMBES is made up of companies that produce containers which pollute the environment, it is not altruistic. That is why their recycling actions are limited to certain packages.
