About this app

Edit Out Loud instantly converts your manuscript to audio and allows you to listen from your smartphone. Now you can edit your novel on the metro, while jogging, or anywhere.

Simply tap, record, or type in a comment if you hear a grammar error, plot hole, or a boring section of your novel. Comments you add while listening in the app will appear in your source doc—Word, Google Docs, or Scrivener—so you can fix them later.

You can even share audio drafts with beta readers so they can listen from anywhere and add comments back to your source document.

As an indie author, I've used this app for years and hope to use it for many more. Equipment: 3-year old MacBook Pro and old Pixel 5 phone Process: I upload my Word doc onto the website. It syncs to my phone in seconds. Afterward, I listen to my books and make edits in the app. I input edits from the phone rather than download the file to the computer. Pros: *Affordable.* No file size limit. Can listen to entire 95k book! Robovoices reveal errors. Cons: Site goes down periodically. Love EOL!

It seemed like a nice app and I was hoping to use it to help me edit something that I was writing. However when I downloaded it and I went to go put my document in there shortly after that it said somebody access my document when I didn't share it at all with anybody except for myself said Galaxy S5 was logged into my document so I deleted it because I didn't feel it was safe. Other than that I think the features are great.

I've loved it so far. Keep up the good work. Hope you guys succeed in making this app the best out there. Thanks a lot for creating it too... its so incredibly helpful for me. Issues I've found.... 1) If you could delete the comments already placed. It would be even more effective 2) also able to start off the narration for any selected point should be added.
