About this app

Cronosurf Wave is a chronograph watch app for Android devices and a watchface for Wear OS! No other OS are supported for now. SOME UNSUPPORTED OS include: Tizen (Samsung GEAR, GALAXY 3 and earlier), Garmin, HarmonyOS (like Huawei Watch GT2).
Galaxy Watch4: please install from Google Play directly on the watch.

This app is based on the original design started 2014 as a web-based technology demonstrator (cronosurf.com). Its main focus lays on design, functionality and usability. If you are a chronograph watch lover, you'll find yourself using Cronosurf as your day-to-day app for alarm, countdown timer and stopwatch!

Since Cronosurf has many features, the app includes a comprehensive user manual. The Button Assistant is now integrated in the app (portrait mode). Use it to quickly getting familiarized with the basics. To activate it, tap on the area above the watch.

Cronosurf Wave runs on Wear OS watches and without the need of an Android device! Install it directly from Google Play on the watch.

Pay only once! If Google Play wants to charge again when installing on Wear OS, please wait a few hours until the servers sync the first purchase.

Optional "Android Smartwatch Mode" for standalone Android watches (like the Finow X5) to optimize the app for the watch screen. (Cronosurf runs as an app on these devices, not as a native watchface).

It's gorgeous, and I want to love it, but the steps don't sync with my phone, so it only shows steps while I've had the watch on, not my total steps. Minor annoyance to some, but it really bugs me for some reason, especially considering the cost. Galaxy Watch 5 Edit - now that I know the step counter doesn't really even work, it honestly is more disappointing. Wish I had known that before paying for the pro version, as I wouldn't have done so

Thanks for your feedback! The step counter feature is purely experimental. In order to make it fully functional we would need to implement the Google Fit API and ask users for permission to read their fitness data, which some users might not feel comfortable with. However, we will reconsider in the future to implement this if feasible.

These watches provide an amazing amount of features directly from the watch face, without entering other apps or tiles. It is a little hard to learn, but the touch areas on the screen become intuitive pretty quickly. The pro version is a bit more complex than the free version, but we'll worth it if you like the free version. Note: My favorite aspect is the accurate compass available with just a few presses.

A really well-designed and functional face. Looks complex, but comes with manuals and infographics to explain the display and functions -- easy to understand after a few minutes learning what's what. I only wish I could use the hardware buttons with the face functions instead of tapping the screen (e.g., using the Fossil Gen 6's two crown-side buttons for "C" and "D"), but I suspect Wear OS doesn't allow faces (in contrast with apps) to listen to those particular hardware events, so I'm giving it five stars anyway.

Many thanks for your 5-star review!! You are right, it would be great to be able to use the HW buttons. But as you correctly mention, the HW buttons are not available to watch face apps under Wear OS. Hopefully this will change some day.

What's new

v4.1.6 Pro Wear OS
- Messages now appear on the bottom on the screen. This solves the issue on newer versions of Wear OS were the graphical menu could not be opened since the message was blocking the center of the screen.
- Preferences screen now with black background
- Other minor bug fixes
