About this app

An ad-free, minimalist and lightweight 3rd party widget for Todoist and Google Calendar.

NOTE: Make sure to use an AppLink enabled browser when logging in, such as Chrome. This means some browsers like the default Samsung browser might not work. Clear will automatically ask you to pick a browser on your first login.

Stay organised by having a constant reminder of your most important tasks; ready to be checked off the moment you complete them.

Avoid having to open your to-do app whenever your task list needs a quick update.

The included widgets will allow you to:
- Display your full todo list.
- Add new tasks.
- Complete and delete tasks.
- Update and edit the content and due date of existing tasks.
- Use dynamic due dates while entering your to-do.
- Open the official app from within the widget itself. Note that this is limited to the supported Todoist views.

And all for free, with no ads.

Common keywords will work when adding tasks, such as:
- Priority (ex 'p2' or 'p3')
- Date keywords (ex 'tomorrow' or '13:00')

Setup instructions:
- Install the app like normal.
- Open the app, then click the Todoist or Google Calendar option at the top to log in.
- Fill in your login details like you would at the respective websites (using the official secure APIs).
- Long press your home screen to add a new widget, then scroll down to the widgets available under the Clear app (not the Todoist app).

Get Clear Pro as a way to support development.
As a thank you, you will also gain access to 2 extra bonus widgets. Display your apps using a more traditional calendar design, or as a weekly overview.

Please note that all Clear core features will always remain free, and Clear Pro is first and foremost a way to support development and increase the frequency of new updates.

Also note that Clear is still in Beta, and as such a few bugs are unavoidable. As this project is an ongoing process, expect new improvements and features to be added frequently.

If you have an issue or suggestion, don't be afraid to send me a message through the feedback option in the app!

While Clear has much of the same functionality, it is not a full replacement for the main Todoist/Calendar app. It is meant as a quick overview of your upcoming tasks and projects, easily available in an aesthetically pleasing widget, and works best when used together with the official applications.

This app is so close to being perfect. It looks amazing. However, it lacks two huge features. The first feature I found that I missed is a button that allows ToDoIst to be opened from the widget. Secondly, I really wish I could switch between the lists on the widget face without having to go into the settings page. But I have hope, as the developer seems very responsive!

Hey Zach, glad you're liking the app. For your second point I definitely agree, and bringing more control to the individual widgets is something that is in the works already. Concerning your first point this is not something that is in the plans right now, but I’ll see if I can’t get to it at some point in the future. Regards, G

*EDIT* As pointed out, you can change the text to white. Not a very obvious setting, but at least it was there. Would still be nice to choose a custom color so it will work with theme/wallpaper.* The preview images show the widget text in white, but when you actually install it, all of the text is in a nasty gray color making it almost impossible to read. And there is no way to change the color of the text are all. Would be nice if there was an option to choose a custom text/icon color so the widget is actually usable.

Hey Daniel, if you go into the settings and swap the 'dark mode' switch to 'on' that should also change the widget text colour. It should be set there by default, but might have gotten turned off somehow. Thanks for the feedback, more fine tuned customisations will most likely be looked at in the future. Hope that helps, Glenn

I decided to give this app one more chance and I'm glad that I did. For people who are trying to sign into todoist, it did not work on Firefox, Opera, or RoboForm browser. It also did not work in the standard factory Samsung browser that I can't remove from my phone. It did, however, work on Chrome browser and I was able to sign in. It's an excellent widget and I will be installing it on all of my devices.

Hey Brad, sorry you've been having problems. I'd love some more information as I've not been able to reproduce the issue. Sounds like your phone is not allowing the login redirect for some reason, which is not something I have a lot of control over unfortunately. Regards, Glenn
