Great handling of calls, navigation, and audio player directly on the car display and speakers. Maps app does not show phone search history, and it's better to start navigation before connecting to the car via USB. Maps doesn't work over Bluetooth in my Toyota RAV4. Music player app also needs to be started before connecting via USB.

Easily connects to waze and amazon music. It's frustrating that the default music player is Pandora and even after uninstalling Pandora it still defaults to Pandora so you have to specify Amazon music every time you request a song or album. If you forget it will play different songs on Amazon and Pandora at the same time. Wish you could set default music app. Other than no way to default music app I love Android auto and use it all the time.

The absolutely most frustrating part is not being able to use some apps while Android Auto is connected, which leads to many issues. One, it should be a user choice to opt in/out (freedom to choose!); (two) it's far more unsafe bc a user must disconnect their phone (while driving) to use an app/phone or correct an issue. Let users choose with a disclaimer & be done. Also, it doesn't connect every time. This requires shutting the vehicle off & restarting. I've not found another option.
