About this app

It is the dean newspaper of Castellón, leader in audience and diffusion in print and digital leader and in social networks in the province.

The Diario de Castellón was founded in 1924. On June 14, 1938, it adopted the title of Mediterranean, in force until today. It is the longest-running newspaper in the history of journalism in Castellón thanks to its balanced, rigorous and committed editorial line in defense of the interests of the city.

Since June 2019 it has been published by Prensa Ibérica, the leading Spanish regional press group, after the acquisition of Grupo Zeta. Mediterráneo has two editions, Castellón and Vila-real, while it publishes other publications, including El Periódico del Azulejo, nine municipal Chronicles of as many cities in the province or the monthly society magazine Gente.
