It's a widget, not an app! To run, press Menu on the Home screen, then Add/Widgets.
This is an aide for those who study (or want to study) the Japanese alphabets known as hiragana and katakana. It features a set of two app widgets - "Learn Hiragana" and "Learn Katakana". The widgets flash kana characters on your home screen, together with its English reading.
The character changes every 5 minutes.
"Learn Kanji" is coming, too, as a part of our JISHOP project.

Its a great idea and works like its suppose. 5 mins to change IS too long though. Options to change this ould be perfect.

Colours are an eyesore and there is lack of choice apart from if you want to see hiragana or katakana. I like how small it is though but I'm going to have to uninstall.

This is a fantastic idea. But updating every 5 minutes is NOT. Update frequency should be configurable and a tap to update immediately would round out the features.
