About this app

There are three color-related tests (purity, gradients and shades) and two touch-related ones (single and multi-touch). The Display info button opens a page that contains data about the screen resolution, pixel density, aspect ratio and current brightness. Depending on your phone model, these tests can help you decide, for example, if the eye comfort mode must be enabled to prevent eye strain, if the brightness level requires some adjustment or find out if the touch sensitivity is still good all over the screen's surface. The color tests and Information require one tap for every page. Anyway, you can exit anytime from the current test with a double-tap somewhere on the screen. The Single-touch test is complete when the whole screen is filled with blue rectangles - including the area occupied by the upper text message. If the touch screen proved to function properly, the Multi-touch test helps you check if several fingers (maximum ten) can be used simultaneously to make multi-finger gestures in your apps. Finally, two animation tests indicate the frame rate of your display (in Frames Per Second) while a cube or a few rectangles move all over the screen.

A test to be valid must document what the test discovers to be helpful. There is no output given, so it becomes a game, in this case I want to know if my touch screen is functioning correctly. The solid color and gradient color tests might indicate a display issue (eg dead pixel or other display issues). Touch tests present only input challenges, with some that are timed (eg fill the screen). Most importantly any tests must provide output data so user can consider repair/replace decisions.

This Free, Ad-free app allows you to visually test the screen colors, check the touchscreen functionality, see the 2D and 3D speeds, and more. Just to be clear, there are not timed tests, or input challenges! As all things are clear now, we would appreciate if you could change the review and give 5 stars for our hard work. Thank you, Microsys Team

No real instructions. Single touch test exits after only a few touches with no explanation if there was a failure or pass. Similar with multiple touch.

Most tests are self-explanatory, but you can read instructions by tapping About app. As a double-tap is the command used to exit tests, you have to avoid it during touch tests. Keep your finger on the touchscreen all the time (Single-touch) and slowly press your fingers to count them (Multi-touch). So please give us a better rating. Microsys Team

This appears to work - at least, the displays appear to be as I expect. Gradients are a problem for my 70+ year-old eyes though, so I am less sure about that specific test.
