This app does NOT function. Having installed it years ago, I can say that it is "down" more than it works. It used to be that my downloaded licences would just disappear and I would need to download them every time I wanted them. It is easier to just save a pdf file to my phone or take a pic of the paper license. Currently, and for several weeks, I get an error saying I have no internet connection. That error message itself is an error. This app is poorly designed and poorly maintained.

I see a lot of complaints about the date picker, but if you tap on the year at the top, you can scroll through years pretty quickly. I just have a couple of gripes with this app: 1. On Android at least, the app is full screen, so it hides your top info bar and bottom soft buttons. You can get the to appear for a second by swiping up from the bottom of the screen, and given how awkward it can be to get to the app's built-in back button sometimes, I find myself swiping up to use the phone's back button a lot. Just a minor annoyance for having to do the extra step. 2. Some stuff that would be really handy to include in the app (fishing guidebook, for example) is a link to the DWR website instead. That's not very useful when we're up in the Unitas with no service. On the plus side, you can download your licenses so you don't have to carry a paper copy, and the app does include fish species identification images, broken out by broad category (sport, non-game, and endangered).

Doesn't work properly. Isn't the only point of this app to have a digital license? I tried this app last season and it didn't work. This year, it still doesn't work. Just spins and spins when loading or buying. I gave up after 120 seconds. I can find better photos for fish identification on Google too. Gave you another shot a year later and it's still abysmal. Uninstalling again. Maybe I'll give it a shot in another year...
