About this app

This app was developed independently of the MIT Scratch Team, which produces the Scratch programming language and online community. The Scratch name and Scratch cat are trademarks of MIT.

"Scratch Tutorials" brings you a whole bunch of video tutorials to get you going making your own games using Scratch 3.0. This are not the sort of standard tutorials that you find on the web. During the videos you will be set tasks to do in scratch and hopefully you will be able to complete them on your own. However, don't worry the next video in each project will show you how to complete the task!!

So, what will you learn to build in Scratch? Well, there are 4 games to be covered here. A simple “whack-a-mole” game, stepping up to some more complicated builds in a “fish and shark game” and the n a build of the classic retro game “Breakout”. Also, we have included a fun webcam based game to show you even more possibilities.

Scratch really is a fantastic way into learning programming and coding and this app hopefully will be a great asset to get you going with it.

This is a big app of over 500Mb, because there is so much material in it. You will need to be hooked into your WiFi connection!!

*TEACHERS* the point of this app is that your students can use a tablet alongside the PC to build their games in Scratch. You can just sit back and relax without having to plan anything. There is enough material to keep your students busy for many hours, even if they don't manage to have a go at the extension tasks that are identified for all 4 games!!

Botom line is we don't collect any personal data at all, the app is just videos and a menu.

I have downloaded the app but it is not responding towards me. I have tried numerous times to get started with this application but it's originally not starting. I am continuously taping the screen but nothing really open. I was about to clear my all concepts related to scratch as I have started chapter about scratch at school recently but I think it was a bad idea to download this application. Please resolve my problem. I shall be thankful to your greatness.

Sorry dude, the app is just fine. I don't really know what to suggest. You can find all the videos on my website www computing.training too, maybe that will help?

Hey David (I can call you that right?) I downloaded this app just to get some tutorials to improve my scratch coding and I only looked at like 2 videos and I already knew this was an amazing app. Yes the app does take up a bit of storage but it's totally worth it. Someone give this man a a prize for such a great app. 🙂 Overall, wonderful app. Also, I think you should make a clicker game tutorial (I already know how to make one) but I think other people would want to make a simple clicker game.

Course you can call me David, funnily enough I prefer David to Dave as well. I am posh like that. Can you rewrite your review and explain what you mean by a clicker game. Give me a bit more detail.
