The magazine wants to make the new and old knowledge of medicine and the healing arts of the East and the West accessible, but also critically. It wants to challenge, provoke, inform, entertain, and set new standards. The whole subject is presented in a healthy co-existence of fresh journalism and scientific know-how. The aim of Paracelsus is extensively informed and the part of the readership, which is basically interested in the topic, but is not yet penetrated deeper into the matter, to allow introduction to the subject and thus to himself.

The magazine is named after the 1493-born physician Philip Theophrastus Aureolus bombast of Hohenheim, who called himself Paracelsus and was one of the people who devoted her whole life to the search for causes of disease and for natural medicines to cure.
