I've only used Quizlet for flashcards, and it's been great so far. I add new cards to the pack on the web version then use the app to review the vocabulary. I do wish it had a better and easier interface for adding new cards; the web version is a little clunky for that. I love that the app has an option to hear the word, but I've noticed the stress is wrong in a few cases, so I just started including the stress when I create the cards.

Quizlet is a shadow of it's former self. Just a few short years ago, this was the best term-learning platform available. Now, a corporate takeover and an aggressive new business model has locked even the most basic and quintessential features behind a paywall. I recently returned to Quizlet to make a large vocabulary set only to discover, weeks into my revision, that accessing and learning study sets was NOT in fact an available feature. There is absolutely no value in this app anymore.

One thing that I dislike is that they've made some of the basic testing functionalities paid features for certain lists. (for example, on one of my Spanish lists I have to ask the AI to quiz me because I'm not allowed to just get prommptes with the term and write out the answer). In my opinion, basic testing without the bells and whistles and specialized features like extra quiz styles and AI should be the paid features. They should add a "suggest correction" feature.
