The Resident Evil Companion is a fan-made application that lets users explore details and lore from the Resident Evil universe.

- Features:
The app features every mainline game entry in the series and is currently in the process of adding the remaining spin-off games.

The app also features a codex of Resident Evil animated movies.


- Character/ B.O.W Profiles:

Each game entry in the app features detailed profiles that provide information on characters and Bio Organic Weapons.


- In-App 3D Model Viewer:

In additional to the information provided for each character/B.O.W, the user can also examine certain character and weapon models using an interactive in-app viewer.


- Augmented Reality (AR) Rendering:

The app has a built-in AR rendering feature that allows users to render character models onto real-world surfaces using their phone camera.


- Immersive File Reading Functionality:

Resident Evil Companion helps to immerse the user as they read in-game files by using subtle Resident Evil background music, as well as
in-game audio such as page-turning sound effects while providing the iconic page animations seen in every RE game.


- Mini-games:

Resident Evil Companion also allows users to play a mobile version of the Portable Safe mini-game from Resident Evil 2 Remake

Finally, the app is packed with secrets -- users can search the app for hidden codes and easter eggs that will unlock special content and features.

Ratings and reviews

I like it, the sound effects and music are top notch in quality and I enjoy how they're used. The UI is easy to navigate and use as well as being responsive and fast. If possible I'd like to be able to move it to my SD card which it seems so few apps offer. I think this could end up being a really good app for resident evil fans new and old. Maybe a timeline with a summary for each game can be added as a feature. I like the character model viewer as well and would like to see that built upon.

I think it's a really good place to start as far as an app goes. I'd personally like to see more stuff added overtime, like more detailed info on the character models, more models from different versions of the games, walkthroughs and item maps, helpful hints pertaining to the game play itself. I love the vibe and it's great to hear Resident Evil as soon as you open the app. I also love the background music. It gives it a classy feel. You can tell a lot of thought and work went into this.

This app is great, it nails the look, feel, and tone of Resident evil, even down to small things like the announcer, and the music, and neat additions like the portable safe 'minigame' and the secret codes, it all feels so resident evil, only problems I have encountered is the tile pictures for survivor, dead aim, and code Veronica sometimes take a while to load but other than that it's perfect
