About this app

which teaches you the tap finger combinations (The Tap alphabet) for your TAP wearable keyboard.
TapGenius breaks down the alphabet into eight ways to remember "tap-sets". The learning system combines musical and visual memory hints for each set.

TAP Wearable is required.

The app has the capacity to tell you which fingers you are activating, but doesn't during practice. So while you might be tapping the correct combination for the letter, the app isn't registering all of the fingers you tried to tap, but it doesn't tell you what fingers it did register. So you have to guess at what is wrong and try several compensations before something works or you time out. Infuriating. The number of time I have tapped "space" but it doesn't register. I still don't know why.

Lots of bugs for the alleged "first step" to using the Tap Strap. Immediately after learning about air mouse mode, the left-click does not work on any buttons. Haptic feedback can be felt when the gesture is performed but nothing happens. Additionally, mouse mode can't be turned off in this app EXCLUSIVELY. I have "Keyboard Only" turned on in the manager app, but it doesn't extend to TapGenius for some reason. I would rate it higher if it weren't the official learning app. Needs lots of work.

I'm really loving this new way of typing. I've been working on learning the keys each day and now have the full alphabet and number series complete! It would be awesome, though, to have a learning series that goes over only the special characters. I'm a programmer and end up using those keys a lot, so that would help me out greatly with my goal of using this device for coding at some point. The only other issue I have is that the mouse for left hand is not properly adjusting, meaning for the laser part, each movement is opposite of what it's supposed to be(left is right, right is left, up is down, down is up), and for air movement, up is down and down is up, but left and right work fine.
