Handbook for Melee is aimed at beginning players of Super Smash Bros. Melee, but provides detailed info on techniques that are difficult to perform and have barely been discussed of, such as V-canceling and Platform warping so even high-level Super Smash Bros. Melee players can benefit from it. Several players have reported to me that it also serves as a handy info guide when commentating.

There is frame data and hitboxes for the top 14 characters in Super Smash Bros. Melee and explains most of the information in a very noob-friendly way, so players just starting can easily understand what is going on. While players who have a grip of things can just reinforce their knowledge of the game.

I HIGHLY recommend this app for all players, new, old, middle-aged, everyone. I guarantee Handbook for Melee will help you in more ways than one. I have sent the app to quite a few top players of Super Smash Bros. Melee (Notably Axe, Zhu and Chillindude), and all have approved of it.

Ratings and reviews

Must have for any gamer. The tips alone have pages that can be applied to any gamer in any game. The mindset and improving sections are key examples. This app has a lot going for it but there are a ton of techs not included in this app. Please help this app out so it can grow and develop. Please keep adding more of the techniques and unique techs. Edit: so I've had this for a 2 years now and still no updates. There's no way to support it. Seemingly no development.

Advise: It'd be nice to see every character's frame data and hitboxes, the notable players section is a little outdated and the matchup chart doesn't always explain why X character loses or wins. This app is awesome! They tell you all the tech, show machup chart, give health advise (poisture and such), they show some character stats and for some hitboxes/frame data, and they even give you a termonology guide. Really reconmend if your considering playing Melee!

A great app for those who take the game to a competitive edge. The only problem is that there is no way to view hitboxes or frame data for low tiers, and while I do understand that reasoning, I know a Young Link main who'd like to see some hitbox info.
