Get back to basics and play the classic game of Mancala on your Android device! You can play against the computer or friend online or offline.
Mancala is from ancient times. It is one of the oldest known board games. There are many variants including Oware,Awale, Ayo, Warri, Ouri, Ncho, Awele, but this game uses the most popular, Kalah.

Game Play Rules:
1. The game begins with one player picking up all of the pieces in any one of the pockets on his/her side.
2. Moving counter-clockwise, the player deposits one of the stones in each pocket until the stones run out.
3. If you run into your own Mancala (store), deposit one piece in it. If you run into your opponent's Mancala, skip it and
continue moving to the next pocket.
4. If the last piece you drop is in your own Mancala, you take another turn.
5. If the last piece you drop is in an empty pocket on your side, you capture that piece and any pieces in the pocket directly opposite.
6. Always place all captured pieces in your Mancala (store).
7. The game ends when all six pockets on one side of the Mancala board are empty.
8. The player who still has pieces on his/her side of the board when the game ends captures all of those pieces.
9. Count all the pieces in each Mancala. The winner is the player with the most pieces.

Ratings and reviews

Too many ads. I unlock my phone and an ad pops up. Every time. Some ads I couldn't back out of. This is not a good. There are better ones, that do the same with no ads. Edit:. I was just told to update the app for better experience. One, responding almost 12 months after leaving a review, does not help the reviewer at all. Two, the app was reviewed within days of downloading it. It was updated. I really wanted to love the game as I actually own the physical game but I do not.

You know how you get a new game expecting when you jump in, it's easy, to make you stay. yeah, uhm no! First 5 games I lost to these SUPER INTELLIGENT, just started to play the game too, people. They also go first, everytime. And the only way I can win (for nothing) is because my opponent left the match. Such a fun childhood game and now ruined by virtually. OH and ADs every sight you turn. I'd rather go play UNO. Byeee 👋

Reminds me of the old days when i used to play this as a kid at the local boys and girls club. After a while instead of calling it Mancala we nicknamed it "cala"/"kayla" for short, although since I haven't played it in years i had to sharpen up on my skills so i lost some of the first 4 matches and when I clicked for a rematch the app wouldn't let me play again. Im not sure if this is a test trial but it kept forwarding me to a option that offered me the choice to find other games to play
