Be nice is a tiny app launcher. Its sole purpose is to launch apps in split-screen mode. This is more than convenient if an app forces the device into portrait mode. While portrait mode is the preferred orientation on smartphones, tablets and foldables are often used in landscape mode. Instead of rotating your device just to be able to use an app, launch it using Be nice.
Even if an app does not lock the device into portrait mode, its user interface might not look great in landscape. Here, Be nice comes in handy, too. Just launch that app with Be nice, and enjoy a portrait orientation while in landscape mode.
To launch an app in split-screen mode from your home screen, tap and hold the app inside Be nice, and select Add link. This will create a shortcut to the app on your home screen.

I found split screen once by accident on my Pixel 3. The process of setting this up is buried deep in the Settings app on my current Pixel 7a. The Be nice app makes setting up split-screen mode super simple and creates an icon to launch your selected combination again and again. Love it.

Works, but I get two instances of the app. One is operational, and in recents, it's blank, but expanded it's good, but I get another that doesn't show the second app. There's no way to fix it, no real menu. 4 stars for now.

Response so Developer.: Yes, I use Split Screen pretty often on the Honor 70. But your simpler "single icon" method would have been simpler. Original Review: Nice idea. I sometimes use Split Screen on my phone and a simpler method appeals to me. Sadly, Be Nice doesn't work correctly on my phone (Honor 70, Android 13 with MagicOS 7.1). I've tried several apps. They are opened normally (not split screen). Nevermind, a well presented and easy to use app, just not for my phone. Nice try!

Thanks a lot for giving Be nice a try. And I am sorry to hear it doesn't work on your phone. Be nice really doesn't do much but ask Android to launch the second app adjacent to the first one. Does launching a second app in split-screen (without Be nice) work on your phone?
