while the base gameplay is fun, this game has too many problems to overlook. the biggest problem is that you have to unlock every stage of a tournament for money, then there's an entry fee, and the winnings are woefully inadequate to cover that. I'm talking 1400 coins unlock plus entry fees, with a 100 coin payout. there's also a non-poker game you have to play to progress the story, and it's 100% luck-based. i hate playing the story parts.

novel concept. One of the few free poker that has somewhat realistic AI. There is logic to how they behave. Rather exciting to pull off a stage win. This is challenging due to crippled stack sizes begining each round. Too many chips in stack would have made it boring.

Designer swears dealing isnt rigged and I believe his intentions. However there is clearly an issue with his random generator. Cards dealt are most often CLEARLY related to eachother beyond random. About a third of winning hands are a straight, greater than 50% of the time you are dealt same suit cards, and 2 pair or 3 of a kind is generally the lowest hand you see. But it's not unfair as it's true for all players. The game is cute, engaging, and the skewed cards add a fun twist to it. I like it
