GovHK Notifications provides citizens a convenient way to receive Government information and alerts with mobile devices. Users would be able to choose their preferred types of Government notifications to receive.

Major functions include:
● Receive notification messages from the Government of Hong Kong SAR;
● Select categories of messages they are interested to receive; and
● Share notification messages via SMS, email, Facebook, etc.

Note:
● Notification messages are sent to mobile devices (with GovHK Notifications installed) through Google services, namely Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Successful or timely reception of notification messages through their cloud services is not guaranteed by the service.
● Using GovHK Notifications, data transmission fees may be incurred for transmitting data through mobile devices. You are suggested keeping track of data usage from time to time.

Ratings and reviews

It is not user friendly yet! After download the file, my smart phone states that there is a problem and the web site is closed! Upon further review, the program informse that I have five failed log in ( in fact, I was trying to set up the program on my smart phone to run) more than five times,and my account is now locked for 2 to 3 days. Then I can try to get into the program again. This is not fair and user friendly, as a beginner, errors should be made and failed to log in could be many times

After the latest update, there is no optional notification ringtone function. Because the optional ringtone is very useful for me that as I hear this special ringtone, I can decide immediately that the just received notification is need to check up instantly or not. 2019_05_24 可否恢復“自選通知鈴聲“功能，或者加設“鈴聲音量控制大小“功能。

Worked well until newest update. Now when I want to know more details about traffic alI I get is a blank screen.
