About this app

The Klappið app is an official Public transportation payment app, made for Strætó Iceland (the Administrative body for public transportation in the capital area of Iceland). The purpose of the app is to provide payment possibilities of various sorts in public transportation, including single tickets and period passes (such as monthly or yearly passes) for the citizens and guests of Reykjavík. The user can, in the first phase, sign on, register a payment method, purchase a travel media and confirm the purchase by validation in the buses of Strætó.

When the app works, it's fine. The issue is it only works 30% of the time. It will randomly log you out and then throw error codes at you where the text is "null" so you have no way of even knowing what the error is and making it impossible to log back in. When an app functions as a ticket it has to be stable. This app is about as unstable as it gets.

Please fix this app no more minor fixes, just redo it at this point. I used an app for the public transport in sweden for 5 years without any problems, this was from 11 - 6 years ago!!! I get logged out at least once a day, I have to be logging in and getting sms and putting that in, while standing in the entrance while the bus is driving and I'm trying not to fall over. No OK. I have a year pass so don't run into payment issues but my mom who buys single tickets get's errors all the time!

Never has it been this frustrating and inconvenient to buy a bus ticket. Even when the app works and it doesn't randomly ask you to log back in half a minute before the bus arrives, the readers are slow and unreliable. No wonder the buses are running late when it takes a minute or two for people to just get on and scan their tickets at every stop. It is honestly more stress free to just cheat and not buy a ticket, than it is to try using this app.
