Where would a TV show be without its stars? Build rapport with different talent agencies, find performers that specialize in certain genres, and get the studio audience really fired up!

Preparation is an important part of any production. Send your staff out to scout new locations, and they'll come back with new themes, genres, and decor items, giving you even more options to work with.

Once one show airs, you can start on another right away! Publicize it in magazines, on the radio, or on social media to win new fans. How high will the ratings on your next show be...?

TV Studio Story is a game in the same vein as Game Dev and the like. You run a small TV studio and work your way up making shows for the masses. For the most part the experience is smooth and well running. Lots to do, lots to manage and overall a good new release. Could some things change? Sure. I'd like to swap actors if they get picked for a genre that isn't theirs but it doesn't break the game. Lots of sets, genres and items to unlock.

It's fun, but it could be better. For example the knowledge transfer for cancelling a show doesn't make sense, why would you lose some stats and there doesn't seem to be a pattern for it. Money is also a bit more of a chore to make compared to the other games. What confuses me most is when selecting the cast for a show, you click the agency and you get some random people that 30% of time don't fit the theme even if the agency description fits your context.

Pros: -Basically a more polished and fun Game Dev Story -My fave NG+ system (high score points let you buy perks for the next run) Cons: -Even tho the NG system is good, there's not a ton of depth to encourage more than 3-4 replays -Feels like some of the higher-level options are just there as money sinks Conclusion: Still one of the best recent Kairosoft releases and worth the price of admission, I'm just spoiled by Tropical Resort Story lol
