About this app

On some Android™ devices, the file manager is already available on the system. We did not even pass it as name files, so we developed a shortcut to open it directly in the file manager

Very grateful for this "app". It does exactly what I need it to do: open the "Files" app that is already a part of Android. Nothing more, nothing less. (Sad that this is even necessary; a big 👎 to whoever in Google and/or Motorola that decided to make native Files not only hidden but unable to be marked as visible.) Thank you Delta 8 for making a workable solution! 👍

This works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S22 (Android 13). I could not access any of the hidden system/app files even with them turned on. After hours of researching others with the same problem, the Samsung Ambassadors were saying we needed to root it in order to access those files which I refuse to do. I found an article of someone having success on their Pixel 6 Pro with this, so I tried it and voila! I now have access to all hidden files without needing to root my phone. Tyvm!

The Google files app is massive and the native files app can't usually be accessed. I like the Google files app to play music but used to be stymied trying to look at text files and others whilst using it. This gets around that and other problems. Thank you.
