About this app

Do you want to know where the delicious wine you are drinking comes from?
With the Android app of weinlagen.info you can search for a specific vineyard in a wine region with the help of Google Maps.
If you go on a vineyard hike, you can use this app to find the exact location of the vineyard through Google Maps and GPS.
This app shows polygons on Google Maps that represent the different wine regions, wine areas, communities, and vineyards depending on how you zoom in or out of the map like you would do with the Google Maps app.
Depending on the zoom factor, all wine regions, districts, communities, and vineyards are shown on the map. To get detailed information about the vineyard, just tap the corresponding polygon.
You can use the search option to find wine regions, districts, communities or vineyards from the database and see them on the map. You can also change to the satellite view on the menu.
If you like the app, please take a moment to rate it positively in Google Play Store. For feedback you can send an email to webmaster@weinlagen-info.de with the subject “Android App”.
Both the website and the Android app were created by wine lovers and are free of charge and advertising. If you like to help us improve the quality of the information about the vineyards, please let us know. We would be happy to receive your email.
The app has the following permissions:
- get approximate or precise location (GPS and network-based)
- access to USB storage (to move the app from the phone’s intern storage to an SD memory card)
- read Google service configuration (used by Google Maps)
- full network access (to access the information about the vineyards from our database).
