After initial startup and setup, it appeared to run normally. Tapped the button to blank screen, and after that, the app will now never run, only stays in "paused -cover camera" mode (both cameras were covered with five layers of black electrical tape in attempts to fix this, but initially was using front camera with a single layer). Uninstalled and reinstalled app, restarted device, etc., in various combinations, but app would no longer ever go past the "paused - cover camera" state. Eventually it wouldn't even let me select a camera, and every time that settings menu selection was touched, it would restart the app back to it's main screen. Gave up and uninstalled app. :-( Also, when this app is running, at all, nothing else on the phone can be used because it always goes "on top" of everything else. If you turn that off, app will no longer operate, and simply keeps asking for the permission over and over until you either kill the app or you give it that permission. Not a very useful app if you can't just let it sit there and do it's thing in the background and still use your device. :( Regarding charging, even though the app wouldn't even "run" according to it's status screen, I could still see the charge level drop by a percent every few minutes, even though the device was plugged in to it's charger. I can run several apps normally on the device, including the camera recording video, and it will *increase* charge state by a percent or two every few minutes while doing so...but not with this app installed. Device is a Samsung J3 Orbit SM367VL running the built-in Android 8.0.0.

Battery consumption is caused by using the camera when the application is on - even when the message "cover camera" is displayed (it checks if you have covered camera). If you see "cover camera" message all the time then even though you have covered the camera well it is worth to decrease used camera resolution (in settings eg 1920x1080 to 1024x960)

Warning: the setting "Detect Only When Charging" almost never stopped detection when when I unplugged my phone. This was the case even 30 minutes after charging was stopped. The explanation of this setting says: "Since detection computing intensive and can drain battery quickly, it is strongly advised to leave this option set."

If the phone is charged up to 100%, in many smartphone models the operating system states that it has been disconnected from charging. Therefore, for the CREDO Detector application:
charging = charging or battery status bellow 90%.
Therefore, after disconnecting the charged phone, the application continued to work. Will automatically stop below 90%

The app doesn't work, I can't pass the login/registration screen because of infinite "Permission granted" notifications which I believe are showing up because of some infinite loop that freezes the main screen and the buttons there are not responding to touches. I managed to tap the registration button only by accident and now after managing to login successfully I still see the initial screen that is unresponsive and the app crashes after some time.
