About this game

2 Player Spades is a variant of the popular trick-taking card game called Spades, which is typically played with four players in teams of two. In 2 player spades, as the name suggests, there are only two players competing against each other.

There is no deal in 2 player Spades. Each player draws a top card and decide if they want to keep that card. If they keep it, they put the second card face down in a discard pile. But if the player decides not to keep the first card, they put the card face down in a discard pile. Then, they draw and keep the second card automatically. The building of the hand continues until each player has 13 cards. The remaining 26 cards are discarded until the next hand.
Players take turns leading with a card, and the other player must follow suit if possible. The highest card of the suit led wins the trick, and the winner of the trick leads the next one. The spade suit is always trump, meaning that a spade card will beat any card from the other suits.

Players score points based on the number of tricks they win, as well as any bonus points earned from bidding before the game starts. The player who wins the most tricks in a round earns a bonus 10 points, known as a "bag". If a player accumulates 10 bags, they lose 100 points.

Overall, 2 player spades can be a challenging and exciting game that requires strategic thinking and careful planning.
