Clarity
The audio timer display is large and clear even in bright sunlight, a very important consideration for running, jogging, sailing or cycling. The audio timer has multiple screens views accessed via a horizontal swipe.

Accuracy
Lap timer operates precisely to 1/1000 second via on-touch actions (not on-press). Nearly all other stopwatches and lap timers operate on press... these timers are not as accurate as this app since a press can take up to 1/3 second and yet a touch is instantaneous.

Easy operation on the move
For a speaking stopwatch to be used when actually performing an exercise or activity such as running, there are considerations that most stop watches and split timers do not address. Ideally a user should be able to operate the timer when in a pocket or other location from which the screen may not be visible. Side button operation, speech and touch screen locking combine to allow Talking Stop watch to be used easily in this way.

Ratings and reviews

Close but not quite. I wanted to like this app, but most of the time it doesn't call out my split time on the set interval. Pixel 7a running Android 14. Maybe it will call out one or two times but most often I get nothing. This is the most important feature for me and it doesn't work 90% of the time. Bummed.

Wonderful app. It has almost all I need for a stopwatch. I wish the lock screen could show some information like total time, current lap number, distance, etc., which should be configurable. I also wish it could be configured so that the shared result includes the statistics and the average speed. I look forward to seeing these features in the future.

I like this timer because too often I forget to turn off timers or fall asleep before stopping it. Also the adjustable talking intervals allows me to be aware of how I'm pacing time on things, so I don't waste too much time on any one thing. So this helps perception of time even when I'm just sitting there brainstorming getting lost in my thoughts. It's a good time control helper, a very excellent idea!
