About this game

Hack the mainframe in this action-packed clicker game!

HackerNet is a short, experimental clicker/tapper idle game. Hack through 20 levels to defeat the mainframe and earn all 8 achievements! The only interactions are tapping the screen and buying upgrades using the in-game currency. This is my first game, made as a solo project.

Completely free, single-player and offline, it requires minimal permissions and has no ads, in-app purchases, tracking or analytics. No personal information is collected. HackerNet can be played with a single finger, but supports up to 10-finger multitouch.

Mindless tapper featuring an anime girl, and sadly that's it. The retro glitchy visual aesthetics is the only positive thing I can say, but everything else felt barebones and empty. Curiously the stats page has an entry related to a prestige mechanic, hoping for something here...

I'll give you 3 stars for the insta-lose, that was funny. Why does the text appear slowly and stilted as though the game is lagging? -- If that's intentional, you should probably give a warning about your aesthetic choices.

Thanks for playing! The title screen text has an intentional "glitchy" animation effect, to evoke an old CRT display. However, all text in the actual game should display smoothly.

Cool game and beautiful. It's just too short (or the progress too fast. I guess it is an unfinished product but I had fun with it.
