Ratings and reviews

I like this as an introduction to the series. Odette's evolution is shown pretty well in a gradual manner. Discovering why her power or magic wasn't cooperating was a great piece that I didn't see coming. Her going from barely able to move her magic to actually being the top witch of her class is a bit unbelievable but it feels good. It feels good because everyone in her class including her parents and herself at some point doubted that she was qualified to be at the academy since she wasn't very comfortable with her magic. I love that they refer to their pets as familiars 😊 I think it's cute. Overall this was an easy listen and would recommend if you want to enjoy something about spellcaster school, teenagers and really a story about trusting yourself, working on your power and not giving up just because the people around you seem advanced. we all have different circumstances and starting point. The important thing is to finish well.
