About this audiobook

The essential universe, from our most celebrated and beloved astrophysicist.

What is the nature of space and time? How do we fit within the universe? How does the universe fit within us? There’s no better guide through these mind-expanding questions than acclaimed astrophysicist and bestselling author Neil deGrasse Tyson.

But today, few of us have time to contemplate the cosmos. So Tyson brings the universe down to Earth succinctly and clearly, with sparkling wit, in digestible chapters consumable anytime and anywhere in your busy day.

While waiting for your morning coffee to brew, or while waiting for the bus, the train, or the plane to arrive, Astrophysics for People in a Hurry will reveal just what you need to be fluent and ready for the next cosmic headlines: from the Big Bang to black holes, from quarks to quantum mechanics, and from the search for planets to the search for life in the universe.

While he has a good voice in the audio, some of the jokes that are made are slightly entertaining, and this can teach someone something. My problem with this is this book is too basic. Basically, if you don't know much about this subject (space science). Then you will be able to get a lot from this. It's almost like a month worth of science channel when they cover space science. However, it can be a bit too basic for anyone who knows a bit. Even more so when you have a good grasp on quantum mechanics. Because how simple it is, I honestly think this book is well over priced. Wait till it's half off to get it. If it wasn't for the price then I would mark this as a 4 out of 5

have always liked hearing what Tyson has to say about...well anything :) He is one of my heroes and I have the utmost respect for his works. Sometimes I find it hard to keep up with all of the advances in various fields of science and this was a great way to refresh and learn new things! Much love to Niel, now and always.

Would be better if it explored topics a little more, I think I'll have to listen to it again to grasp fully some of the concepts. Made all the more better that it's read by NDT.
