ジョージ秋山（じょーじ・あきやま）
1943年生まれ。1966年に別冊少年マガジン「ガイコツくん」でデビュー。人間を赤裸々に描く漫画で常に注目を浴び、70年には「銭ゲバ」「アシュラ」「日本列島蝦蟇蛙」などの問題作を次々に発表する。73年から始まった「浮浪雲」は、30年以上経った今も連載が続き、単行本も80巻に達するロングセラーとなる。同作品で第24回小学館漫画賞を受賞。また、「銭ゲバ」「浮浪雲」「恋子の毎日」といった多くの作品がドラマ化、映画化されるなど、その人気は多方面にわたる。
