Alix has an overpowering personality and a magnetic aura that appeals to Leila. Inexperienced Leila gets caught up in a situation she never expected. At first glance Alix comes off a pompous jerk and Leila his gullible pawn. There were so many times I wanted Leila to take charge and stick up for herself. I also wanted to give Alix a piece of my mind. However, as I became better acquainted with the characters I started to realize Alix's arrogance was his way of coping with responsibilities and protecting himself. It is said that a good story evokes strong emotion. If that is the case, Abby Green did a beautiful job. An Heir Fit For A King is an intense, emotional whirlwind. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a king and what a man! His desire to protect her was palpable. Certain books are keepers and this one made my list!
