I gave it the 2 stars because at the end of the book clair finally got a back bone I was tempted to delete the book by chapter 10 but once I start I have to finish a book, for a start this woman was not strong she was a weak woman who in their right mind would stay with a man the beat, raped, imprisoned, degraded and violated on a regular basis knowing she could talk to numerous people I wouldn't waste you time reading I definitely will Not be reading the rest of the books so they can be repetitive.

The story is quite confusing as it lingered on the concept of whether or not Anthony Rawlings is just a psychologically ill person or is he a criminal. So many chapters were spent explaining in detail.how his character changes and too much descrption on the travels the couple had. But only a few chapters on the actual case. I felt the authors could have spent more time in building a case rather than descrobing their twisted love story.

The was so good😍i coudlnt stop reading. Tony was horrible but he i still like him. Claire was a mess, hopefully she find her strenght in the next book. I know that this sounds crazy but im still team TonyxClaire

About the author

Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis. Aleatha has raised three children with her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly thirty years. Before she became a full-time author, she worked days as a dental hygienist and spent her nights writing. Now, when she's not imagining mind-blowing twists and turns, she likes to spend her time a with her family and friends. Her other pastimes include reading and creating heroes/anti-heroes who haunt your dreams!
