Really enjoyed the book. Read it in one day. Only things that kept me from rating it 5 stars were a few grammatical errors, a timeline inconsistency, and too much repetitive inner dialogue angst from the heroine for the first half of the book. Would still recommend, reread and enjoy reading other works by the author.

This book was intense in it's emotions, so if you are looking for the sweet and sassy Alexa Riley read, this is their big sister, with more of an edge, and more depth, but still the sweet and sassy. I loved every second of it, and it was an amazing read Paige hasn't had an easy life, and her demons won't leave her alone. She has always had to be a fighter to survive, and that means keeping everybody out. Only her best friend Mallory ever got through her defenses, and she feels like she is losing her as well. She isn't a sweet fighter, she is a tough one. She isn't a sassy heroine, she is sarcastic and manipulative, if needed. Her vulnerabilities don't show, until the one person she can't keep out charges in Ryan "Captain" Justice has wanted Paige from the first time he saw her picture. To say he is obsessed is an understatement, but, he has to keep her away to let her grow, to feel safe, to become her own woman. He plays it cool, calm, and collected, but he screams inside to make her his. He won't let her play him, but getting to her heart is a stealthy trek he won't mess up These two have chemistry that sizzles, and the slow burn needed to get to their HEA will overheat you on the path

I loved this one! Yes there is serious insta-love and over the top obsessiveness but somehow it all works and makes for a very entertaining read. This is book 2 in a duet and I would definitely recommend you read book 1 Everything for Her first. This book gives us the story of Paige and Ryan aka Captain America. It also brings to light the history between Paige, Miles, and their father and brings that portion of the story to a conclusion. The stories are very well told with great writing, pace and character development. I would definitely recommend.
