Very good book, gives u a different perspective on wars in general as well as the galactic war in the star wars universe. The original trilogy focused a bit more on the rebel navy ( in my opinion), and I felt like this book gave me insight into the rebel army as a whole (hardships, etc). Tells u tht power and position isnt everything in life and how it can affect one's philosophies and decision. Showed the burdens of command, something we didnt really get to see in the movies. Star wars rebels reference too

Have kept up with most of the EU since even the Young Jedi Knight series and was underwhelmed by most of the new novels being put out but this was a fun read. Intruiging characters and the good old feel of a republic commando novel. Cheers.

First quarter is a bit boring & seemed to have too many characters to invest in. However once the Battle of Hoth arrives the book takes off & becomes a nice ride.
