The characters are written beautifully. Such a heartfelt story, makes you examine your own views, your own relationships. A reminder that things are never as simple as they seem from the outside.

Great story. Loved the detail and scenery description. The story of a family filled with love, loss, happiness, regret, longing and determination. The relationships between mother-child-grandchild was beautifully captured and very relatable although in another time and place.

I felt as I was reading this book that I was part of this family. The Author captued the humanness and fragility of this family and everyone they encountered. A wonderus and beautiful story of love devotion and the human spirit.
